Obituary for John L. Coppola

John L. Coppola
John Louis Coppola 57 of Poughquag, New York died from heart failure on Valentine's Day. He was born in Mount Vernon, New York on April 4, 1959 to John and Angela Coppola; later moving to Yonkers, New York, where he met and married his wife of 36 years, Jeanne T. LaColla on October 12, 1980. They lived and raised their two sons David and Christopher very happily in Dutchess county for 28 years. John has had a successful career in the food industry working with Gristedes NY, as an executive for White Rose foods New Jersey, where he was recognized as man of the year with the Tri-state Italian American Congress and most recently, Krasdale foods New York. He also owned Midland market on Midland Avenue in Yonkers with his brother Rick for 17 years. He enjoyed playing basketball, business golf outings, and was an avid Giants and Yankees fan.
John is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, sons David and Christopher and their loving companions, Kaitlyn and Ashley. He is also survived by his mother Angela, his brothers Gary, Rick And his wife Annette, sister Lori Palma and her husband Peter. John was also very close with his friends and extended family including brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
John was a great polar bear who was loved greatly and will be missed dearly.
