The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joanna Eforo can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Life Story for Joanna Eforo

Joanna Eforo
Joanna was born on March 1, 1922 in New York, NY to Vittoria Pugliese and John Federico. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, Dominick (Joan), Joseph and Frank (Connie), and sister Josephine (Vincent) Musto.

As a young woman, Joanna worked as a telephone operator and later as a sales woman for the Arnold Constable department store. It was here that she made great use of her sense of style and flair for color, which would remain with her throughout her life.

Joanna married Vincent Eforo on May 1, 1949 and together they raised three daughters, whom she is survived by: Leonore Eforo, Camille Finelli (George) and Carolyn Sedotti (Richard). Joanna is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristen, Vincent (Dana), Nektar and Mira.

Joanna or “Jenny” as she was known to her many friends and family members was a wonderful cook and homemaker, who enjoyed nothing more than hosting family and friends in the home she and her husband, Vinnie, lovingly restored.

Her generosity, grace, and joyful spirit were unmatched, and her creative nature extended well beyond the kitchen to include drawing and oil painting, many home crafting projects and dancing.
She loved all kinds of music—from disco to rock to opera, shopping , cruising to the Caribbean, her beloved cats, and a good crime-drama.

Most of all, Joanna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was greatly loved and her memory will live on in our hearts and minds forever.
