Antonio C. Rodriques of Yonkers, New York passed away on July 31, 2012 after suffering a massive stroke. He was only 49 years old.
He was born on February 5, 1963 to Celeste and Celestino Rodriques. He graduated from St Mary’s Elementary School, Mount Saint Michael High School and Fordham University. He spent several years working for the United States Post Office and then found his true vocation when he became a Firefighter with the Yonkers Fire Department.
He leaves behind a beloved Mother, Celeste Rodriques and Father, Celestino Rodriques. Also survived by him is his beloved brother, Lester C. Rodriques and his wife, Anna Maria Rodriques. He is also survived by his beloved niece, Nicole Rodriques and his two nephews Matthew Rodriques and Alex Rodriques.
He was loved by Aunts, Uncles, many cousins and a multitude of friends.
Antonio also known by many as ARod or Tony will always be remembered for his amazing sense of humor and smile always on his face. He lived to help others whether it be fighting a fire or helping out at the Ronald McDonald House. He loved kids…all kids.
Visitation at the Flynn Funeral Home (1652 Central Park) Avenue, Yonkers, New York, on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 2:00 – 9:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Saturday 10 am, at St. Mary’s R. C. Church, 103 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sprain Road, Yonkers, New York.
