Mary Elizabeth Pinto
Mary Elizabeth Pinto 92, passed away peacefully December 6, 2017.
Mary was born in the Bronx to Russell and Rose Tavolacci and predeceased by her husband John who was her high school sweetheart.
She is survived by her children, Carol Palmer (Ron), John Pinto (Linda), James Pinto (Pat), Russell Pinto (Doreen), Elizabeth Itzla (Paul), Stephen Pinto (Rani), Edward Pinto (Sofia), Rose Malara (Rob), Dr. Susan Schuettenberg (Lou), Christopher Pinto.
Her power of positive thinking, kindness and her sunny disposition made her who she was. Her life included being a member of the I.C. Players, the Rosary Society and the Choir. Her love of Arts & Crafts led her to work as a teacher throughout Westchester County. She taught by example accepting all as they were. Her faith was her pillar of strength.
She leaves this life with a profound legacy of love for her children, grandchildren: Marisa, Daniel (Angie), Justin (Amy), Jamie, Lindsey (Alex), Jessica (Marc), Alexis, Lauren, Kristen, Stephen, Cali, Kaitlyn, Brittany (Joe), Christopher, Laura (Yuri), Kelsey, Rebecca, Julia, Lucas, Michael and Great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Shane, Dylan, Lyla, Hudson, Max, Auggie, Brandon and Gavin.
Services will be held at Flynn Memorial Home, 1652 Central Park Avenue, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass, 9:30 am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe, NY 10707. Interment will follow at Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester, NY 10709.
